            ⚠️ Important Disclaimer: TestMyRig provides estimated performance projections based on algorithmic models. Actual game performance depends on many factors including drivers, background processes, cooling, game patches, and specific hardware configurations. Our results should be used as general guidance only, not as guaranteed performance metrics.
        

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using TestMyRig ("the Service"), accessible at testmyrig.net, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TestMyRig is a free web-based tool that:

Detects your PC hardware specifications using browser APIs
Compares your hardware against game system requirements
Provides estimated FPS (frames per second) projections
Analyzes potential hardware bottlenecks
Suggests hardware upgrades with links to purchase

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

Please understand the following limitations:

Hardware Detection: Browser-based hardware detection has limitations. GPU names may appear differently than expected. RAM detection may show reduced amounts due to browser restrictions. CPU detection is limited to thread count.
FPS Estimates: Our FPS projections are generated by an algorithmic model, NOT from actual benchmark data. Real-world FPS varies significantly based on game patches, driver versions, background applications, thermal throttling, RAM speed, storage type, and many other factors.
Game Requirements: System requirements are sourced from Steam and game publishers. These requirements may change with game updates. Some requirements may be inaccurate or outdated.
Bottleneck Analysis: Our bottleneck analysis provides a simplified overview. Real hardware interactions are far more complex and workload-dependent.

TestMyRig results should be treated as rough estimates and general guidance. We strongly recommend checking multiple sources before making purchase decisions.

4. Affiliate Disclosure

TestMyRig participates in affiliate marketing programs, including:

Amazon Services LLC Associates Program: We earn commissions from qualifying purchases made through our Amazon links.

When we recommend hardware upgrades (such as GPUs, CPUs, or RAM), these recommendations include affiliate links. If you click these links and make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

Our recommendations are generated algorithmically based on your hardware scan results. Commission rates do not influence which products are recommended.

5. No Installation Required

TestMyRig runs entirely in your web browser. We do NOT:

Install any software on your computer
Download any executables or plugins
Access your file system
Run any background processes
Modify any system settings

All hardware detection is performed using standard web browser APIs (WebGL, Navigator, Screen, Storage). These are the same APIs used by millions of websites.

6. Intellectual Property

The TestMyRig name, logo, website design, and original content are owned by TestMyRig. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Game titles, logos, images, and trademarks referenced on this site belong to their respective owners (Valve, Steam, individual game publishers, etc.). TestMyRig is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher or hardware manufacturer.

7. Third-Party Content and Links

Our Service contains links to third-party websites and services, including:

Steam store pages
Amazon product search results
Game publisher websites

We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites. Visiting these sites is at your own risk.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service at high volume
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Misrepresent TestMyRig results as official benchmarks
Overload our servers with excessive API requests

9. Limitation of Liability

TestMyRig is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TestMyRig shall not be liable for:

Any inaccuracies in hardware detection or FPS estimates
Purchase decisions made based on our recommendations
Hardware that does not perform as estimated
Games that do not run despite our compatibility assessment
Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from use of the Service

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TestMyRig, its owners, and operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Availability

We strive to keep TestMyRig available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

12. Game Data

Game system requirements displayed on TestMyRig are sourced from publicly available data, primarily from the Steam store. Requirements may change as games receive updates. We make reasonable efforts to keep this data current but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.

Some games include estimated or projected requirements (e.g., unreleased titles). These are clearly marked and should be treated as speculation.

13. Advertising

TestMyRig displays advertisements through Google AdSense. These ads may be personalized based on your browsing history (managed by Google). We do not control the specific ads shown. If you find an ad inappropriate, you can report it through Google's ad feedback tools.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of TestMyRig after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

16. Severability
